On-Prem Infrastructure Architect

Job Description We are seeking an On-Prem Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and deployment of a new on-premises IT environment using a modular u201cdata center in a boxu201d approach. This role involves reviewing existing hardware, architecting a roadmap, and standing up all core infrastructure componentsu2014servers, virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware), networking, and domain services. You will administer Microsoft Active Directory, including domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, Windows Server environments, and automation tools, and thrives in a small, agile team delivering enterprise-class solutions. Key Duties and Responsibilities u2013 u2022u2003Virtualization & Infrastructure: u2022u2003Design, deploy, and optimize hardware infrastructure supporting virtualization (servers, storage, networking) u2022u2003Manage and maintain virtualization platforms to ensure high availability and performance u2022u2003Implement, manage and monitor high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies for virtualized environments o Administer standalone on-premises servers at remote locations u2022u2003Participate in cost analysis reviews for new workloads (cloud vs. on-prem) u2022u2003Active Directory & Identity Services: u2022u2003Administer Microsoft Active Directory, domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services u2022u2003Manage domain controller replication, site topology, and AD schema u2022u2003Support hybrid identity environments integrated with Azure u2022u2003Automation & Scripting: u2022u2003Develop PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks u2022u2003Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Bicep u2022u2003Support & Collaboration: u2022u2003Provide escalated support to 1st and 2nd tier IT staff u2022u2003Resolve infrastructure issues in coordination with internal teams and third-party vendors u2022u2003Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices u2022u2003Contribute to project planning and solution delivery aligned with business goals We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
