RN Clinical Nurse - 6th floor Med Surg (Weekend Option)

Description This position qualifies for our UNC Health Wayne Incentive Program, which includes up to $35,000 commitment incentive. 6 Main is a 48-bed medical surgical department that focuses on the care of adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnosis. Common diagnosis into this department includes diabetes, stroke, kidney failure, respiratory distress, sepsis, liver disease, and other medical issues. Our care team is composed of RNu2019s, LPN, nursing assistants, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, and many providers to meet the complex needs of our patients. Our nursing team frequently manages IVu2019s and access devices, NG tubes, various drains, urinary catheters, and wound vacs. Nurse to patient ratiou2019s are 1:5/6 and nursing assistant ratiou2019s are 1:8/10. Our med surge department welcomes new graduate RNu2019s and LPNu2019s.
