Your Opportunity As a Senior Transportation Engineer, youu2019ll bring your experience in highways, streets, and roadway design to lead and support a wide range of projectsu2014from conceptual planning through final design and construction. Youu2019ll manage the design and delivery of transportation projects while working independently on smaller assignments and collaboratively on larger initiatives. This role involves applying advanced knowledge, sound engineering principles, and best practices to solve complex problems. Youu2019ll guide junior staff, maintain project schedules and budgets, and potentially support proposals to grow our business. The role of a Senior Transportation Engineer is to work independently on smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project. You will lead the design of assigned projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your Key Responsibilities - Lead and prepare complex engineering designs, plans, and drawings for a variety of projects, including urban and rural roadways, highways, and intersections - Apply advanced knowledge of transportation engineering principles and stay current on evolving methods and technologies. - Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, multidisciplinary teams, and clients. - Responsible for the design, quality reviews, and sealing of assigned projects. - Supervise and mentor engineers, CAD staff, and junior team members, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
