THE POSITION As the Sr. Solutions Engineer for the Healthcare vertical, you will serve as the technical expert responsible for shaping and validating integrated system architectures that support hospitals, outpatient centers, and other clinical facilities across global markets. You will work closely with sales, engineering, offering management, and customer stakeholders to understand clinical and facility requirements, develop integrated buildingu2011system designs, and guide technical decisions that enable safe, efficient, and reliable healthcare environments. This position is designu2011led and solutionsu2011focused, emphasizing building systems, integration planning, and technical engagement throughout the preu2011sales and solutionu2011development lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Lead the design and technical architecture of integrated building systems for healthcare facilities, including building management systems, controls, environmental and criticalu2011space monitoring, and other lowu2011voltage building technologies. + Translate clinical, facility, and operational requirements into scalable, clearly documented solution designs with defined integration pathways and functional impacts. + Engage with healthcare owners, facility teams, consultants, and project partners to understand clinical workflows, facility types, and regional design needs across global markets. + Support preu2011sales engagements by providing technical leadership, presenting solution options, and validating system feasibility in partnership with the sales organization (no individual sales quota). + Review system specifications, design drawings, and integration requirements for key healthcare opportunities and major projects. + Collaborate with crossu2011functional teams: Strategic Sales, Offering Management, Solutions Consulting, Product, and Engineering u2013 to ensure system architecture aligns with Honeywellu2019s portfolio and healthcareu2011segment goals. + Recommend optimal system designs based on healthcare operational priorities (patient and staff comfort, environmental control, reliability, energy efficiency) and regional requirements. + Participate in architecture reviews, customer presentations, and industry discussions to convey technical value and system differentiation for healthcare environments. + Maintain current knowledge of healthcare facility types, criticalu2011space environmental needs, and buildingu2011systems integration practices. + Travel as needed to support major customer engagements, design reviews, and technical workshops across domestic and international regions. YOU MUST HAVE + 3 plus years of experience designing or engineering building systems within healthcare facilities (such as hospitals, outpatient centers, or similar clinical environments); OR 5 plus years of experience in buildingu2011system design, technical solution development, or system architecture for clinical or highly regulated facilities. + Demonstrated ability to translate clinical and facility requirements into coherent system designs, architectural decisions, or integration plans. + Experience supporting customeru2011facing technical discussions in preu2011sales, solution design, consulting, or similar environments. + Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex system concepts to both engineering and nonu2011technical stakeholders. WE VALUE + Participation in healthcareu2011focused facility or engineering associations (e.g., ASHE or similar). + Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, computer science, building systems, or a related technical discipline. + Experience designing or integrating building automation, controls, environmental monitoring, or lifeu2011safety systems in healthcare or other criticalu2011environment facilities. + Understanding of healthcare operational workflows, patient and staff comfort requirements, and environmental needs that influence facility design. + Strong collaboration skills across global, multiu2011disciplinary teams. + Ability to assess currentu2011state system architecture and recommend enhancements aligned to customer and market needs. + Innovative mindset with the ability to adapt solutions across diverse global healthcare environments. PAY TRANSPARENCY The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $154,000 - $193,000 . For Washington, and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $177,000 - $222,000 . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
