Description We are looking for a dedicated Employee Benefits/ERISA Attorney to join a well-established law firm. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal guidance to employers on matters related to employee benefits, including retirement plan compliance, executive compensation, and regulatory audits. This is a unique opportunity to work with a collaborative team and make a lasting impact in a dynamic legal environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Advise employers on the design, implementation, and compliance of retirement plans, including Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), and other related matters. u2022 Ensure client adherence to applicable laws, including ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code, in all aspects of employee benefits. u2022 Represent clients during audits, investigations, and regulatory proceedings conducted by the Department of Labor and other agencies. u2022 Draft and review essential legal documents such as plan amendments, summary plan descriptions, and supporting agreements. u2022 Provide guidance on executive compensation matters, ensuring compliance and effective implementation. u2022 Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions. u2022 Manage multiple client matters simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational and interpersonal skills. u2022 Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to deliver accurate and timely advice. u2022 Participate in negotiations and transactional matters, ensuring legal compliance throughout the process. Requirements u2022 Licensed attorney with significant experience in employee benefits and ERISA matters. u2022 In-depth knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and related regulations. u2022 Proven expertise in handling executive compensation and retirement plan compliance. u2022 Strong drafting skills with the ability to prepare legal documents and agreements with precision. u2022 Experience representing clients during audits and regulatory investigations. u2022 Ability to manage multiple client-focused projects while maintaining attention to detail. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both with clients and team members. u2022 Familiarity with corporate transactions and transactional law processes.
