Open Position: Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) Adult Education InstructorLocation: Dauphin County Technical School, Harrisburg, PASalary: $32.00 - $40.00 per hourJob Description:The LPN or RN instructor's obligations are to insure the nurse aide training program curriculum is current and precise, and to teach the total program hours (121) to include classroom theory & labs at Dauphin County Technical School and assist students during clinicals at a local, long-term care facility. Some additional hours include participant orientations and testing.Responsibilities:1. Establishing the goals and objectives of the Nurse Aide Training Program to meet federal (ORBA) and state (Act 14) guidelines2. Teaching and reviewing the curriculum to revise as needed to maintain currency and consistency with other program staff3. Providing guidance and support to the nurse aide training staff where applicable to safeguard goals, objectives and learning outcomes are being met4. Assisting with participant issues, concerns, and/or grievances where applicable5. Providing remedial assistance to participants as needed6. Participating in On-Site Review process conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of EducationQualifications:Current LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania without limitations. Two years of experience as an LPN or RN with at least one year in long-term care. Au00a0Train The Educator (TTE)u00a0Certificate of Completion (can be obtained after hiring) as well as the CHRI acceptable in line with P.L. 169 of 1997.
