Assistant Vice President - Facilities Services Location San Francisco Bay Area, CA Job Function Facilities Services Employment Status Regular, Full-Time, Exempt Apply Now ( Essential Duties and Responsibilities: u00b7 Collaborate closely with regional leadership on developing and executing on an operations strategy to ensure best-in-class facilities across the regional portfolio u00b7 In close coordination with the asset services team, manage third-party engineering contracts, vendors and contractors to ensure mission-critical operations and maintenance of laboratory buildings. u00b7 Develop and implement five-year capital plans for highly technical facilities. u00b7 Develop, maintain, and manage standard operating procedures for new and existing assets, ensuring compliance and a systematic approach to all assets. u00b7 Manage competing priorities and allocate and optimize time to ensure targets and timelines are met. u00b7 Manage and coordinate vendors in response to service requests by tenants for minor repairs and general facility renovations. u00b7 Oversee technology support for buildings, ensuring systems are properly maintained and functioning efficiently. u00b7 Ensuring that vendors maintain accurate maintenance repair logs and records utilizing company systems. u00b7 Recommend capital improvements and operational changes for existing facilities to further corporate sustainability. u00b7 Arrange proper communication with tenants to ensure maintenance and repairs are handled properly and efficiently. u00b7 Provide or assist in technical support for facilities maintenance working with vendors to maintain building equipment & systems. u00b7 Provide or assist in monitoring/troubleshooting building mechanical systems and security systems with some on-call responsibilities. u00b7 Provide or assist in the planning and implementation of capital construction projects, as they relate to building support and maintenance. u00b7 Coordinate with tenants, tenant contractors and landlordu2019s contractors to minimize disruptions or loss of essential services ensuring completion of TI and capital projects. Qualifications and Experience: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related technical field u00b7 Extensive knowledge of building systems, systems commissioning, and systems design u00b7 15+ years of relevant experience u00b7 Working knowledge of property management, building design and/or real estate, with an interest in lab space u00b7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u00b7 Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with CADD, BMS systems and maintenance work request systems u00b7 Client service orientation and a collaborative work style with cross-functional colleagues u00b7 High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills u00b7 Ability to work on multiple projects u00b7 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to follow directions effectively. u00b7 Knowledge of thermal metering and other utility sub-metering systems. The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $230,000 USD annually, plus annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individualu2019s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Companyu2019s compensation practices.
