Description PLEASE CONTACT CHRISTINA TRAN AT ROBERT HALF FOR MORE DETAILS SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER /DIRECTOR Well established and real estate investment company with over 6B AUM is expanding and seeks a dynamic Senior Accounting Manager for their property division. The Sr. Property Accounting Manager will oversee financial accounting, administration, financial close processes, reconciliations, and strategic analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, implement process improvements, and contribute to the organization's financial strategy and potential to be promoted to Director of Accounting. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of reports. u2022 Review and approve journal entries, budgets, payroll, and expense allocations, while identifying and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, including intercompany transactions, loan schedules, and reconciliations. u2022 Conduct and manage bank reconciliations, wire transfers, mortgage payments, and financial disbursements to ensure compliance. u2022 Monitor cash security processes, including disbursement approvals and account reconciliations. u2022 Provide financial data and reports to support transactions, financing, and capital planning initiatives. u2022 Lead financial analysis to assess revenue and expenditure trends, optimizing organizational financial performance. u2022 Collaborate with external auditors and CPAs to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal accounting policies. u2022 Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and accountability. u2022 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy. Requirements Requirements: + BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. + 7+ years of property accounting experience, residential real estate experience preferred + 3+ years of people management experience, including supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting teams. + Experience RealPage or Yardi or other ERP system + Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting. + Proven leadership abilities, with experience in coaching, training, and managing performance for accounting professionals.
