As the next transportation engineer licensed specialist 13 bridge inspection engineer, you would be responsible for: + Serving as the departmentu2019s statewide specialist for the inspection of the big bridge inventory. This includes bridges with a deck area greater than 100,00 square feet; movable, complex and unique structures; and structures with fatigue-sensitive and nonredundant steel tension member (NSTM) details. Complex features include bridge component(s) or member(s) with advanced or unique structural members or operational characteristics, construction methods, and/or requiring specific inspection procedures. This includes mechanical and electrical elements of movable spans and cable-related members of suspension and cable-stayed superstructures. This position requires possession of status as a qualified team leader (QTL). + Supporting the bridge inspection program manager in the development and implementation of the quality assurance/ quality control (QA/QC) program for bridge inspections and evaluations at the statewide and regional levels. + Assisting in establishing alignment with bridge inspection policies and guidelines statewide and support with inspection related tasks. + Administering consultant contracts for the performance of project related tasks.
