Event Safety Officer I

Performs general duty security work in Bismarck Event Center operations. Provides security to ensure a safe environment for patrons, promoters and Event Center staff. Examples of Duties1. Patrols assigned area on foot to regulate traffic, control crowds, prevent crime and responds to emergency calls to protect persons and property from crimes in progress, fires or other hazards; enforces all laws and ordinances under the provision of the North Dakota Century Code and Bismarck Code of Ordinances regarding the protection of life and property.2. Provide general security and report any inappropriate actions and safety hazards to Security Supervisor on duty.3. Visually search diaper bags, womens handbags, camera bags and individuals wearing long or bulky coats.4. Offer help to those people in need; handles awkward and stressful situations in a courteous manner.5. Performs other duties of a comparable level/type as required. Minimum QualificationsCompletion of high school and experience working with the general public.
