General Description/Primary Purpose:The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Postdoctoral Associate of any area of science, with data science experience. This position will report to Dr. Stuart Chalk, Professor of Chemistry. Position responsibilities include i) lead developer of the core Python application, ii) major contributor to the project ecosystem design and implementation, iii) coordinator of working groups, and iv) major contributor to project presentations and publications.Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on January 1, 2026Working Hours: VariesSupervision Exercised: YesAbout the Department: The UNF Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers chemistry baccalaureate degrees with concentrations in General Chemistry, Pre-medical Professions, and Material Science and a Biochemistry baccalaureate degree.For more information about the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry visit:Qualifications:Ph.D. in the hiring departments discipline or closely related field, plus data science experience.Preferred Qualifications / Skills:Expertise in Python programming, GitHub repository management and Docker containerization is essential. Research data management experience preferred.
