About the Role: As a CBRE Material Handling Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, and the corrective repair of the automated packing and distribution equipment. This job is part of the Material Handling job function. They are responsible for the incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts. What Youu2019ll Do: u2022Operate a sit-down propane forklift to transport materials and empty trash throughout the facility. u2022Maintain cleanliness and organization of designated areas using forklift operations. u2022 Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. u2022Assist with technical and safety training. u2022Participate in and support efficiency improvement Kaizen activities for the site and network when needed. u2022Adhere to department business plans and budgets. u2022Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance. u2022Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process. u2022Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems. u2022Check the functionality of safety systems. u2022Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. u2022Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. u2022Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. What Youu2019ll Need: u2022Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for u2022High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. u2022Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. u2022Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. u2022Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. u2022Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. u2022Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. u2022Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. Preferred Qualifications: u2022Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift in a warehouse, industrial, or facility maintenance setting. u2022CBRE will provide forklift certification for qualified candidates.
