Position Summary $19.00 / hour base pay + $0.75 /hour shift differential for a total pay of $19.75 / hour 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00PM-11:00 PM The inventory control clerk is responsible for resolving any issues with the distribution center inventory from Order selection, replenishment, and receiving. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Sort daily reports and distribute them to the appropriate Inventory personnel. u2022 Make necessary adjustments to the inventory by completing an Inventory Transaction form with the Inventory Control, Supervisoru2019s approval and, when necessary, keypunch this data into the system to include keypunching markouts. u2022 Audit daily all of the previous dayu2019s purchase orders; research any discrepancies and make the necessary adjustments with the Inventory Control Supervisoru2019s approval and report the discrepancies as errors. u2022 Check the Item Backup Report for credits; research the credits and take the necessary action to alleviate the credit, either by expediting the merchandise to the pick location or by making an approved adjustment to the inventory. u2022 Take other physical inventories as requested by Management, Buyers, Accounting, Merchandise Billing, or Production. u2022 Perform scanning functions when required, and make adjustments as requested by the appropriate personnel. u2022 Conduct Cycle Counts as required and communicate with Buyers, Buyeru2019s Administrative Assistants, Accounting Personnel, Merchandise Billing, CO-OP, the Inventory Control Supervisor, and other Management members regarding any inventory discrepancies. u2022 During cycle counts and daily operations, review any merchandise with an expiration date, date code, or lot control number, and expedite the Return-To-Vendor (RTV) procedure by notifying the Buyer and Returns Processor, adjusting the inventory, and moving the merchandise to Returns. u2022 When required, operate turret trucks, fork trucks, order pickers, or any other mobile-powered equipment in a safe, responsible manner as defined in the Operation training and Certification Program and through Management directives. u2022 Review the new items reports daily to identify items to be slotted. u2022 Review each dayu2019s receipts and the new items staging area throughout the day for any new items to be assigned locations (slotted). u2022 Weigh and measure all new items received and verify these findings with the data on the New Items Transmittal. u2022 Allocate a home and pick location for each regular new item by attaching item tickets to the home location rack. u2022 Cut cartons, determine the proper stock prep code, and then fill the assigned location with the new item. u2022 Keypunch new or replanographed locations into WMS. u2022 Monitor merchandise velocity reports regularly to determine when changes or revamps are necessary. u2022 Remove discontinued merchandise from all of its Pick, Backup and Random locations and remove all item tickets. Notify Return Goods personnel or Supervisor when completed. u2022 Complete a Daily Activity Worksheet neatly and accurately and submit it to the I.C. Supervisor at the end of each workday. u2022 Maintain neat and accurate files of all slotting activity as a backup to the on-line system. u2022 Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Management. u2022 Overtime demands- seasonal and heavy promotional times require overtime regularly, up to and including weekends. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Sort daily reports and distribute to appropriate inventory personnel. u2022 Review hi-rise BOH report for discrepancies and adjust items. u2022 Escort outside vendor representatives to any and all merchandise for inspections. u2022 Prepare Slot Maintenance Request form for all inactive items. u2022 Perform audits of the breakdown of display merchandise from stores to pick location. u2022 Operate mobile powered equipment as needed. u2022 Ability to cross-train and perform to standard in various functions and on various equipment as required by Leadership. Required Qualifications 1-2 yearsu2019 experience in Inventory Control in a warehouse environment Preferred Qualifications u2022Good written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Ability, to interact on a professional level, whether by telephone or otherwise, with all support areas (internal and external). u2022 Ability to read, write and count accurately. u2022 Ability to operate (to height of 40 feet) and be certified as an operator of fork trucks and other powered mobile equipment as needed. u2022 Detail oriented with above average math aptitude. u2022 Ability to operate a calculator and other office equipment. u2022 (Physical Demands: This position has a frequent-medium heavy lifting requirement of 1 u2013 20 lbs, 34-66% of time. Occasional very heavy lifting requirement of up to 75 lbs, 0-33% of time. Other physical activities include constant bending/reaching/stooping, (67-100%). Constant walking/standing climbing (67-100%). u2022 Normal eyesight (natural or corrected). u2022 Regular and Reliable attendance u2022 Work Environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment and conveyors Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $28.46 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
