The Role: The Manufacturing Engineer will be integral to the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing systems and processes. Your expertise will be applied to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and overall workflow. You will analyze current production methods, develop innovative solutions to reduce waste and costs, and ensure that manufacturing practices comply with safety and environmental regulations. Collaborating with cross functional teams, you will troubleshoot issues on the production floor, oversee the implementation of new technologies, and contribute to the development of product design with manufacturability in mind. Your role is vital in driving the manufacturing process towards greater productivity and sustainability. Responsibilities: Process Design and Improvement u2022 Implement efficient manufacturing processes u2022 Identify and eliminate potential production bottlenecks u2022 Continuously improve current manufacturing processes Equipment Management u2022 Select and recommend appropriate equipment for manufacturing processes u2022 Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment u2022 Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues Quality Assurance u2022 Develop and implement quality control plans u2022 Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with standards u2022 Analyze and address product or process defects Cost Reduction and Efficiency u2022 Identify opportunities for cost reduction in manufacturing processes u2022 Implement cost saving measures without sacrificing quality u2022 Monitor production efficiency and implement improvements Project Management u2022 Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects u2022 Prepare project plans and schedules u2022 Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed Data Analysis and Reporting u2022 Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement u2022 Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations u2022 Utilize data to make data driven decisions for process improvement Safety and Compliance u2022 Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations u2022 Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions u2022 Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards Training and Development u2022 Train and mentor new employees on manufacturing processes and equipment u2022 Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for current employees u2022 Stay informed on new technologies and processes to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Qualifications: u2022 A bacheloru2019s degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field u2022 Minimum 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. u2022 Proficiency in manufacturing software tools (e.g., CAD/CAM, PLM). u2022 Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization. u2022 Knowledge of materials selection, machining, and assembly techniques. u2022 Familiarity with statistical methods for process control and quality assurance. u2022 Aptitude for troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions. The estimated salary range for this position is $65k to $90k.Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
