Assistant Bookkeeper

RoleAs a Bookkeeper, you'll be the financial backbone for our clients --- ensuring their books are accurate, current, and fully aligned with tax and compliance standards.You'll work closely with our tax and admin teams to deliver seamless support, allowing clients to make confident business decisions based on clean, reliable data.If you're meticulous with details, thrive on organization, and take pride in producing work that's both accurate and insightful --- this role is for you. Responsibilities- Manage bookkeeping for individuals, families, and small-to-medium-sized businesses.- Record and reconcile daily transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank/credit card statements.- Maintain clean general ledgers and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Collaborate with tax preparers to ensure financials are tax-ready.- Communicate proactively with clients to clarify information, identify discrepancies, and improve processes.- Maintain secure, organized, and documented client files. Requirements- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience (public accounting experience preferred).- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Desktop as well as Microsoft Office.- Understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation best practices.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused tone.- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple client books concurrently.- Self-directed, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
