The college actively promotes a dynamic and inclusive environment in which students and employees of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives can learn and work.Job SummaryThe Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the campus community by reviewing and entering budget and journal entries, and providing accounting support across divisions. This position leverages a deep understanding of accounting transactions at Colorado College to contribute to financial modeling and planning efforts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with institutional goals.Responsibilitiesu2022 Provide excellent customer service and accounting support to campus departments including answering questions, developing reporting and assisting in training across campus.u2022 Provide accounting support to student groups and agencies to include meeting with their board representatives and ensure compliance with Colorado College policies and government regulations.u2022 Review all journal vouchers submitted by campus departments, verifying the accuracy of requests, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and college policies and prepare regular campuswide accounting entries such as encumbrance liquidation and internal recharges.u2022 Research, analyze and process budgetary requests including confirming appropriate backup information and approvals.u2022 Support the Financial Planning & Analysis manager with monthly analysis of divisions and departments and meet with constituents frequently to address items identified.u2022 Support the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in developing all-funds modeling across a rolling five-year time horizon.u2022 Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager on position control oversight and the reconciliation of position budgets.Minimum Qualificationsu2022 Bachelor's degree in a related fieldu2022 3 years of experience in a related fieldApplication Instructionsu2022 Continuous recruitment: Full consideration date 9/23/25u2022 This position is not eligible for visa alignment with our commitment to reduce potential bias in hiring, applicants may redact any information that discloses their age, date of birth, or dates of attendance/graduation from educational institutions on resumes, certifications, transcripts, or other application materials.
