Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Colorado Springs, CO.The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.The primary responsibilities of this role will mainly involve implementing features and developing a new backend system called Forge from the ground up. This system is intended to serve as a supplementary backend tool to help reduce the difficulties associated with using the other backend systems currently employed on the C2MBC-Global program.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:Assistance and maintenance of the C2BMC-Global's CI/CD pipeline, which utilizes in-house scripts and applications to ensure a streamlined and straightforward approach to expanded integration testing within the extensive system of applications used in the programGitLab Merge Request ManagementAssisting other teams with problems, bugs, and issues that originate from tools provided by the Tools Team, and handling high-priority problems related to the team, known as PRsWHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world.Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance.2 years' experience with Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) disciplineor a Master's degree with 0 years' experienceor 6 years' experience in lieu of a degree.Hands-on experience with Java, especially with Swing and using reflection within JavaExperience with the IDE commonly used for Java development is Eclipse, but VSCode is also an acceptable alternativeExperience with automation and CI/CD pipelines, as well as working in fast-paced, collaborative team environmentsWHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:Bash/Unix, Python, and MATLAB languages for upkeep on other applications/frameworks that currently exist within the tools teamExperience with Agile workflowsExperience with Jira and ConfluenceKnowledge of using Microsoft Teams and MattermostExperience with Git and GitLabBackground experience in backend software engineering-especially with Java or MATLAB-is highly preferred for the current needs of the Tools TeamExperience in maintaining and enhancing frameworks and similar systems is also very beneficialPAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $74,000 - $80,000APPLICATION DEADLINE: The deadline to apply to this role is November 27, 2025.THE AURIA TEAM:Auria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers.
