Company: SRAM, LLCJob Title:Engineering TechnicianLocation:850 Elkton Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80907Job Description:Apply knowledge of SRAM's proprietary suspension, brake, and drivetrain components design to create new technologies for product development and to improve existing innovations. Apply expertise to: engineer new bicycle suspension forks; conceptualize and prototype parts; perform laboratory and field testing; evaluate mountain bike suspension performance requirements for original equipment, aftermarket, and factory race teams; perform specialized tuning of bicycle dampers; and diagnose root causes in collaboration with internal engineering partners. Test ride evaluation and dynamometer tuning of high-performance mountain bike suspension systems. Execute new product concept generation, manufacture, and testing. Manual and CNC machining, prototype construction, and fabrication of complex parts and assemblies for high-performance mountain bike suspensions in an engineering development environment. Diagnose mountain bike warranty suspension samples for point of failure. Submit test requests and build test samples of SRAM suspension technologies. Maintain assembly line machines to assemble high-performance mountain bike suspension prototypes. Prepare, modify, and build sample products for customer evaluation. Analyze customer feedback, troubleshoot problems, and develop complex, integrated technical solutions as appropriate. Test riding products for the development team, and prepare detailed, written and verbal reports of test rides, in order to provide technical guidance to ensure manufactured bicycles and bicycle components meet functional guidelines. Analyze output and design costs and recommend machines, assembly processes, and product designs to maximize output, profit, consistent function, and quality for all sub-systems of front bike suspensions. Collaborate with design engineers on training, quality and development projects, sustaining, and CQF issues. Build samples and provide support throughout the development process into production.Experience Requirement:Three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or Technician in the bicycle industrySpecial Skills:Must have experience in each of the following: (1) Test ride evaluation and dynamometer tuning of high performance mountain bike suspension systems; (2) Evaluate mountain bike suspension performance requirements for original equipment, aftermarket, and factory race teams; (3) Diagnose mountain bike warranty suspension samples for point of failure; (4) Maintain assembly line machines to assemble high-performance mountain bike suspension prototypes; and (5) Analyze output and design costs and recommend machines, assembly processes, and product designs to maximize output, profit, consistent function, and quality for all sub-systems of front bike suspensions.Salary:$85,656Benefits: [
