Job Description

Scope of Position Responsible for delivering exceptional guest service in the fitness center by maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming environment, greeting and anticipating guest needs, and providing facility orientations. Duties include towel service, upkeep of locker rooms and amenities, logging fitness class attendance, and ensuring equipment functionality and cleanliness in accordance with Waldorf Astoria standards. Duties and Supporting Responsibilities: u2022 Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a gracious, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and team members. u2022 Greeting guests and directing them to the fitness center. u2022 Folding and stocking clean towels for the fitness center and removing all soiled towels from the fitness center. u2022 Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything. u2022 Maintain fitness facility by performing necessary housekeeping duties (picking up towels, cups, shower & bathroom area, vanity area and all surrounding areas). u2022 Maintaining and filling all shower and steam room amenities in fitness center locker rooms (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, eucalyptus spray) u2022 Maintain cleanliness of the Yoga Studio. u2022 Maintain cleanliness of all fitness equipment. u2022 Log all fitness class attendees in booking system. u2022 Ability to give orientation tours and describe the fitness equipment functionality and benefits to all guests entering the fitness center. u2022 Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm appearance. u2022 Keep fitness center and locker rooms clean and free of debris and soiled linen. u2022 Follow Waldorf Astoria grooming and appearance guidelines while maintaining a positive attitude. u2022 Following the posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet. u2022 Complete all fitness equipment maintenance and cleanliness logs and report any malfunctioning equipment. u2022 Attend all pre shift communication meetings. u2022 Attend monthly department meeting as required.
