Job Description

$10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS CRNA's u2013 with OB experience Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during obstetrical deliveries and procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all A.S.A. classes of patients. Will work in care team model but must be proficient to autonomously perform spinals, epidurals, and manage cesarean section and obstetric emergencies. 2,500-3,000 deliveries per year. Mix of two 12 hour shifts or 24 hour shift. Primarily weekends. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: People 1. Provides leadership in the professional practice setting. 2. Supports and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. 3. Delegates tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful professional manner. 4. Identify patient problem and collaborates with the Anesthesia / Surgeon / Perioperative team in the selection of appropriate interventions (tasks). 5. Interacts with members of the health care team to plan and coordinate the perioperative care. 6. Promotes a healthy work environment through promotion of professional communication standards, commitment to co-workers, and positive problem resolution. Service 1. Conducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments, and document findings. 2. In collaboration with the anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic plan of management, manages all aspects of anesthesia care to include preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative care. 3. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures. 4. Provides airway management and/or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, and resuscitation situations throughout the hospital. 5. Anticipates and exceeds patients and customersu2019 expectations that meet all elements of the Henry Ford Experience. 6. Identifies services and care improvement ideas and act on them to create excellent customer experiences. 7. Demonstrates, supports, and assumes personal accountability for consistently upholding team members to the standards across the System and adhering to Henry Ford Health policies and procedures. 8. Recognizes the unique contribution all health care team members contribute to the patient experience. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned. Quality and Safety 1. Independently uses and documents the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs. 2. Seeks to understand and incorporate both safe practices and evidence-based practices into daily nursing care. 3. Maintains compliance with regulatory standards regarding practice, environment, and documentation. 1. Directs and delegates nursing care based on patient acuity and staff competency that is consistent with the nurseu2019s obligation to provide optimum patient care. 2. Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: u2022 Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. u2022 Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia. u2022 Masteru2019s degree required. u2022 Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.
