As a UPK Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing the New York State and individual district UPK curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten. Responsibilities include: u2022 Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 3-4 years in one assigned classroom. u2022 Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to district and state guidelines. u2022 Curating programs and activities based on childrenu2019s interests and learning styles. u2022 Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore. u2022 Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children. u2022 Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
