Teacher - Head Start & Early Head Start

Please Note: Multiple openings are available with the followingFull-Time Equivalents (FTE): 0.95 and 0.80 Job Summary Plans andconducts an educational program, and develops strong nurturingrelationships with children and families and partnerships that encouragefamily engagement in their child's learning. Provides children with adevelopmentally appropriate learning environment in preparation forschool success. Meets Head Start performance standards, and follows theagency and licensing policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.Minimum and Desired Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Head Start(Age 3-5) Education: Associate degree (AA or AS), in early childhoodeducation, child development, early intervention, elementary education,special education, child and family services, human development, orrelated field OR Step 9 (or higher) in the Oregon RegistryExperience/Training: Minimum (1) year of experience teaching in earlychildhood education. Experience working with diverse backgrounds of theCollege's community, students and employees; demonstrated commitment topromoting access and diversity Early Head Start (Age 0-3) Education:Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate or Infant-ToddlerCertification OR Step 7 (or higher) in the Oregon RegistryExperience/Training: Minimum (1) year of experience teaching in earlychildhood education Experience working with diverse backgrounds of theCollege's community, students and employees; demonstrated commitment topromoting access and diversity Additional Qualifications Must beenrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry prior to beginningemployment and enrollment must be maintained throughout employmentPost-offer fitness for duty evaluation, must be obtained within 30 daysof hire date: TB screening Health appraisal Complete required Departmentof Early Learning and Care (DELC) licensing within 30 days of hire Mustpossess or obtain current Infant/Child First Aid/CPR certificationwithin 60 days of hire Must possess or obtain Food Handlers Certificatewithin 30 days of hire Must be able to works occasional evening hours asneeded (i.e., parent meetings, home visits, etc.)
