Technical Writer

Description Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join their team on a remote contract basis. In this role, you will focus on creating high-quality documentation, including business processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Length: Contract for approximately 3 months Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm but open to more of a part time schedule for the right candidate Location: Remote, but must be on the West Coast Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and maintain detailed business process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures. u2022 Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and validate information for accurate documentation. u2022 Utilize advanced tools such as Microsoft Word and enterprise library systems to create, edit, and manage technical content. u2022 Ensure consistency and adherence to organizational standards in all written materials. u2022 Work as a fully integrated member of the document control team to support organizational goals. u2022 Proactively identify gaps in existing documentation and propose solutions to address them. u2022 Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams to ensure timely updates to documents. u2022 Adapt to feedback and revisions quickly to deliver high-quality and precise content. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Technical Writer, with expertise in creating business process documentation. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, and Snag-It. u2022 Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documentation. u2022 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. u2022 Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. u2022 Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. u2022 Familiarity with technical writing best practices and standards.
