Title of Position: Maintenance Worker FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Pay Rate: $16.79 Positions reporting to this position: None Purpose of the Position: The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the building, ensuring a safe, clean and pleasant environment for all staff, residents and visitors. Responsibilities: u00b7 Maintain a safe, clean and pleasant environment for all staff, residents and visitors. u00b7 Provide daily cleaning of the facility and facility grounds, including snow and ice removal. u00b7 Maintain the exterior of the building free from graffiti and other conditions that are unsightly. u00b7 Repair damaged furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed. u00b7 Spackle, sand, and paint walls and ceilings as required. u00b7 Perform minor plumbing repairs. u00b7 Perform routine unit maintenance inspections. u00b7 Conduct routine inspections and perform seasonal cleaning and repairs of A/C and heating units. u00b7 Inspect and repair smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. u00b7 Repair and change door locks. u00b7 Sheetrock walls. u00b7 Perform minor electrical repairs. u00b7 Monitor records about building maintenance and repairs. u00b7 Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Functions: u00b7 Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. u00b7 Must be able to ascend/descend up to 8 flights of stairs. u00b7 Must be able to work with hazardous substances with proper protective equipment. Qualifications: u00b7 Commitment to Winu2019s mission, vision, and values. u00b7 High school diploma or equivalent preferred. u00b7 Ability to interact effectively with the client population. u00b7 Ability to effectively work in a team environment. u00b7 Ability to effectively communicate and to accept supervision from Maintenance Director or designee. u00b7 Valid driveru2019s license helpful. u00b7 Bilingual u2013 English/Spanish is a plus.
