Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In this role, you will manage accounts payable processes, ensure accurate invoicing, and oversee payment transactions for assigned entities. This is a Contract to permanent position within the education industry, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and development. Responsibilities: u2022 Monitor and record all payments, expenditures, and invoices for assigned entities. u2022 Prepare and process invoices for payment while ensuring outstanding credits are resolved. u2022 Investigate and address discrepancies or payment disputes promptly. u2022 Handle check requests and ensure timely payments to vendors. u2022 Conduct vendor reconciliations and maintain accurate records. u2022 File accounting documents to preserve financial historical records. u2022 Post payments to customer accounts with accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Organize and manage deposit receipts, ensuring proper documentation for paid invoices. u2022 Compile reports on overdue accounts and assist with collections. u2022 Reconcile cash receipts and deposits, preparing detailed financial reports. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable. u2022 Proficiency in NetSuite and Blackline software is preferred. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is highly desirable. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and account coding. u2022 Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs. u2022 Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. u2022 Ability to resolve payment discrepancies professionally and efficiently. u2022 Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
