Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and record accurate journal entries to ensure proper financial documentation. u2022 Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are correctly categorized. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. u2022 Assist in preparing financial reports and statements in compliance with established guidelines. u2022 Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing activities to meet deadlines. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information. u2022 Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies in all processes. u2022 Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and answering inquiries. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances. u2022 Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in journal entry preparation and management. u2022 In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting and related processes. u2022 Strong ability to perform detailed account reconciliations. u2022 Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Dynamics 365 is beneficial but not mandatory. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
