Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer for it's government contracting client in support of a USAF program based in Dayton, Ohio. This can sit in Dayton (OH), Plano (TX), or Denver (CO), and requires a SECRET CLEARANCE to start, as well as eligibility to upgrade to a TS/SCI. The role will predominantly be onsite in one of those locations, however, exceptions may be made depending on circumstances. The goal of this mission is to modernize and deliver next-generation aircrafts trusted by the President, Secretary of Defense and Chairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to ensure continued critical command, control and communication during national emergencies. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will use your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge defense solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, guiding them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you will take system-level ownership of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate closely with project engineers, external customers, and field-based employees to integrate various technological components into cohesive and effective defense mechanisms. Additionally, you will work alongside our software team to develop and field software for these systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. You will also collaborate with internal hardware design engineers, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to ensure that all components work together harmoniously. Your ability to bridge the gap between software and hardware, and coordinate efforts among different engineering disciplines, will be crucial to the success of our projects.
