Overview Job Summary Details: The HVAC Technician II performs maintenance, repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests. Pay $33.00 an hour: The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicantu2019s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. 1st shift (Monday - Friday) 7am to 3:30pm with some OT. For information about ABMu2019s benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits Front Line Team Members ( (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) The HVAC Technician II operates, maintains, and performs repairs on assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, chillers, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical, and building systems in such manner as to ensure optimal client relations. JOB OBJECTIVE The HVAC Technician II is responsible for ensuring that the Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning systems of a commercial, multi-floor building are maintained and operating in optimum condition. This role involves working directly with clients, engineering leadership, and vendors to deliver top-tier asset management and ensure client satisfaction through strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills. QUALIFICATIONS u00b7 High school diploma or general education degree (GED). u00b7 Minimum of 3-4 years of related experience and/or trade school training or equivalent combination of education and experience. u00b7 Technical school graduate in HVAC or Mechanical Technology preferred. u00b7 Universal CFC and EPA certifications required. u00b7 Proficient in all general HVAC concepts. u00b7 Proficient in HVAC maintenance u00b7 Knowledgeable of the equipment, tools and materials used in HVAC services and building maintenance. u00b7 Prior experience in troubleshooting with excellence u00b7 May require shift work, overtime and/or on call duties. Stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pump, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting device. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to effectively lead others u00b7 Able to communicate verbally and in writing u00b7 Knowledge of CMMS software processes and systems. u00b7 Ability to read and understand blueprints and other technical documentation. u00b7 Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES u00b7 Install/maintain HVAC systems. u00b7 Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues within HVAC systems u00b7 Perform rounds, reactive, preventative and repair maintenance tasks u00b7 Assist with energy conservation strategy u00b7 Ensure adherence to all safety standards as identified by engineering leadership and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards u00b7 Learn, understand, and comply with fire, safety, and other emergency practices u00b7 Keep simple written records of activities performed and complete basic reports u00b7 Maintain good working relations with other staff and client contacts and employees u00b7 Work in confined areas u00b7 Work independently and effectively with minimal supervision while under pressure and within strict time constraints. u00b7 Work assigned shifts and overtime as needed u00b7 Return all work areas to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition u00b7 Inform supervisor of any condition observed to be unsafe ABM is a military and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.
