What youu2019ll do: Job Summary We are seeking a Specialist - IT System Analyst to join our Corporate IT organization, which supports a global network of manufacturing sites. Operating in a matrix-style environment, this role works from a corporate layer to enable secure, reliable machine connectivity and industrial edge-to-cloud data flows in partnership with site and business teams. The individual acts as a specialized resource and consultant to plantsu2014guiding connectivity architecture, building corporate-owned components, and coordinating with onsite resources for shop-specific configuration in alignment with IT Digial Manufacturing digital tool portfolio internal products. The role collaborates closely with the IoT Architect to help drive adoption of reference architectures and with data and analytics and Digital Manufacturing software development teams to ensure connectivity supports the broader data strategy. Job Responsibilities u2022 Act as a corporate IT consultant for machine connectivity projects across manufacturing sites. u2022 Guide project approach, review designs, and coordinate execution with site teams. u2022 Support and coordinate delivery with local resources and approved vendors. u2022 Build and maintain secure connectivity components (e.g., edge gateways, device identity). u2022 Enable plant integrations in partnership with engineering and maintenance teams. u2022 Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and are operable by site teams. u2022 Collaborate with IoT Architect and architecture teams to drive adoption of reference architectures. u2022 Provide hands-on expertise with industrial IoT platforms (Ignition, ThingWorx, Kepware, MQTT). u2022 Set up connectors and secure data flows to corporate services; guide site teams on configuration. u2022 Ensure connectivity meets data strategy requirements for analytics and reporting. u2022 Apply basic data science and analytics to bridge OT signals with downstream analytics. u2022 Embed OT/IoT security controls and coordinate with Cybersecurity Engineering. u2022 Ensure compliance with IT governance and cybersecurity protocols. u2022 Coordinate production-safe deployments and support cutovers with onsite teams. u2022 Deliver enablement sessions so site teams can sustain local operations independently. u2022 Manage work using Agile and project management practices (Scrum/Kanban). u2022 Identify and propose improvements for connectivity reliability and data quality. u2022 Support incident triage and collaborate with site teams to restore service. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on technology experience, including significant time in manufacturing/industrial environments u2022 Demonstrated success enabling machine/PLC u2013 programable logic controller connectivity and industrial data integration from a corporate IT layer in coordination with plant resources u2022 IoT/Industrial Platforms: Hands-on with Ignition, ThingWorx, and comparable platforms; Kepware/OPC UA, MQTT brokers (Sparkplug B), and edge gateway tooling. u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications: u2022 PLC/OT: Familiar with controls/PLC basics (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens), tag structures, and industrial protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profinet). u2022 Cloud & Integration: Practical administration of cloud services used by IoT/data workloads; secure data egress, event/stream routing, IAM/Secrets, monitoring/observability. u2022 Data & Analytics: Basic data modeling for time-series/telemetry, data quality checks, and integration patterns to MES/ERP/analytics platforms. u2022 Database: SQL fluency. u2022 Delivery: Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and core project management practices; stakeholder engagement and clear communication across shop-floor and executive audiences. Skills: - Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences - Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences - Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills - Ability to work colaboratively on a technical team - Experience working with and guiding diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
