Intensive Care Unit(ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) The ICU RN is a highly skilled and compassionate nursingprofessional responsible for delivering critical care to patients withlife-threatening conditions. This role requires advanced clinical judgment,rapid decision-making, and the ability to manage complex cases in a high-acuityenvironment. The RN collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, andsupport staff to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities u00b7 Apply the nursing process to assess, plan,implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients u00b7 Perform comprehensive assessments includinghemodynamic monitoring, ventilator settings, and neurological status u00b7 Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond toarrhythmias and alarms u00b7 Administer high-risk medications, vasoactivedrips, and advanced IV therapies u00b7 Monitor and document patient responses tointerventions and changes in condition u00b7 Collaborate with healthcare providers to developand adjust individualized care plans u00b7 Prepare patients for complex diagnostic tests,procedures, and surgeries u00b7 Provide care for patients requiring mechanicalventilation, invasive lines, and advanced monitoring u00b7 Educate patients and families on criticalillness, treatments, and recovery expectations u00b7 Maintain accurate and timely documentation inthe electronic health record (EHR) u00b7 Adhere to infection control, safety, and qualitystandards u00b7 Respond promptly to emergencies such as cardiacarrest, rapid deterioration, or code situations u00b7 Support patient advocacy and uphold patientrights and confidentiality Minimum Requirements u00b7 Current Registered Nurse License in the state ofpractice u00b7 Minimum one year of professional nursingexperience; ICU experience strongly preferred u00b7 Completion of Amergis' Competency Program (ifapplicable) u00b7 Current BLS and ACLS certification (PALSpreferred) u00b7 Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation andcritical care monitoring u00b7 Experience with ventilators, invasive lines, andadvanced life support u00b7 TB screening and health clearance (as requiredby contract or regulation) u00b7 Compliance with all federal, state, and localregulations u00b7 Successful completion of new hire orientationand ICU training u00b7 Understanding of patient confidentiality andHIPAA regulations u00b7 Strong communication skills and proficiency inEnglish u00b7 Basic computer literacy u00b7 Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits u00b7 Competitive pay & weekly paychecks u00b7 Health, dental, vision, and life insurance u00b7 401(k) savings plan u00b7 Awards and recognition programs Interested in learning more about pay rates?
