Job Category Engineering & Science Position Summary The Repair & Maintenance Engineering position focuses on planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment. A Supervisor position supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Responsibilities Responsibilities: u2022 Responsibilities typically include setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results and ensuring policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders. u2022 Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering work, including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications u2022 Perform engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts u2022 Liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules u2022 Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment u2022 Supervise team to explore and implement continuous improvement/automation activities u2022 Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: n/a Minimum Qualifications Bacheloru2019s degree or equivalent work experience; OR 3+ years of relevant experience At Bridgestone, you are Free to Be We believe people can only provide superior service and quality to others when they bring their whole self to work.
