What You Will Do: We have an opportunity for a MCL Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. _The schedule for this position is Mon-Thurs 4:00PM to 2:30AM (onsite role)._ Mechanical Testing: + Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing + Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy + Sort priorities as needed + Operate multiple creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for Specimen destructive testing + Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work. + Log testing data in UGA (as needed) + Maintain required log books + Check/ validate testing accuracy Other Responsibilities: + Perform 6s each shift + Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings + Complete all training within the expected time given Qualifications You Must Have: + High School Diploma or GED + Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required + U.S. Citizenship is required + Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment. Qualifications We Value: + Two to five yearsu2019 experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment. + Technical degree preferred. + Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures. + Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings. + Good organizational skills.
