What You Will Do: Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. If you would like to work in a dynamic environment and possess the motivation to incorporate new ideas into practice, this may be the opportunity for you We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to be based in Columbus, GA. This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity. Selected candidate will need to train on 1st shift for 3-6 months prior to transitioning to the 2nd Shift. Primary Responsibilities: + Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the forging business unit. + Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities. + Obtain and maintain knowledge of forging techniques and processes for manufacturing. + Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements. + Assist in electronic work instruction update and creation for manufacturing use. + Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements. + Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties. + Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities. Qualifications You Must Have: + High School Diploma or equivalent + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. + 5 years technical experience + 3 year manufacturing experience + Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes or machines Qualifications We Prefer: + Forge operating and setup experience + 2 year technical certificate or associates degree + Proficient in MS Office Suite + Solumina & SAP experience Additional Information: + Must be a U.S. Citizen.
