Sanitation Worker (Janitor) - First Shift

Our associates enjoy PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, 401K, and numerous Associate Discounts Position Details: Sunday to Wednesday 5:00am-3:30pm + $17.00 base rate + $2.00 differential only on Sundays Benefits: u2022 Paid Time Off u2022 Medical Insurance u2022 Dental Insurance u2022 Vision Insurance u2022 Life Insurance u2022 401K u2022 Associate Referral Program Our associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization Job Responsibilities: Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc. Complete daily sanitation logs Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues Complies with all safety requirements Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: u2022 No prior warehouse experience required but preferred. u2022 High school diploma or equivalent preferred u2022 Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required u2022 Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required u2022 Flexible to work overtime preferred u2022 Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required u2022 Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job u2022 Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills required u2022 Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required u2022 Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
