Description Senior Litigation Attorney u2013 Insurance Defense: Trucking Accident Litigation Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid/Flexible) Experience: 7+ years Bar Admission: Active Colorado license required Robert Half has partnered with a leading litigation firm seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its insurance defense practice with a strong focus on high-value trucking accident cases. This role involves direct representation of national and regional insurers in complex, high-exposure matters involving commercial motor vehicles, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Lead all phases of litigation from pre-suit through trial and appeal. u2022 Conduct case assessments, liability evaluations, and coverage analyses. u2022 Manage discovery involving telematics, ECM data, and driver records. u2022 Take and defend depositions of drivers, witnesses, and experts. u2022 Retain and prepare experts in accident reconstruction, medical causation, and trucking compliance. u2022 Draft and argue dispositive and evidentiary motions in state and federal court. u2022 Provide strategic reporting to insurance clients, including exposure analysis and settlement recommendations. u2022 Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials. u2022 Ensure compliance with Colorado litigation procedures, including damage caps and comparative fault rules. u2022 Stay current on FMCSA regulations and Colorado trucking laws. Qualifications: u2022 J.D. from an accredited law school. u2022 7+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense and trucking/transportation. u2022 Trial experience preferred. u2022 Strong knowledge of Colorado tort law and FMCSA regulations. u2022 Excellent writing, advocacy, and case management skills.
