Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Non-Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our Imaging Department. This role ensures high-quality imaging services while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence. Essential Functions + Practice within the scope of state licensure. + Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. + Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams. + Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. + Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment. + Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care. + Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns. + Practice infection control and sterile techniques. + Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images. + Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions. + Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Required Skills + Strong knowledge of anatomy and image evaluation. + Proficient in equipment operation and electronic imaging systems. + Familiarity with contrast protocols and emergency response procedures. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Effective communication and task prioritization. + Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Minimum Qualifications + Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA-approved school of radiologic technology with documented completion of clinical and didactic training as required by state regulations. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
