Sr. Software Architect

Description We are looking for a Sr. Software Architect to join our team in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable software solutions using cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern software architecture and a strong ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences. Responsibilities: u2022 Design and oversee the development of large-scale software systems using container orchestration and service mesh technologies. u2022 Establish and enforce standards for CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, service mesh, and automated testing. u2022 Conduct architectural reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet security, scalability, and business requirements. u2022 Mentor engineering teams on microservices architecture, container best practices, and DevSecOps workflows. u2022 Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies in cloud-native systems, distributed architectures, and DevSecOps. u2022 Facilitate the collection and analysis of metrics, logs, and traces to monitor and debug systems effectively. u2022 Develop strategies for software improvements and advocate them to development teams. u2022 Balance hands-on coding responsibilities with strategic planning and technical leadership. u2022 Ensure software solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability. Requirements u2022 Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. u2022 Extensive experience with Spring Boot for building Java microservices. u2022 Proficiency in Kubernetes for automating deployment, scaling, and load balancing. u2022 Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies. u2022 Expertise in collecting and analyzing metrics, logs, and traces for debugging and monitoring. u2022 Ability to combine hands-on coding with strategic planning and team leadership. u2022 At least 8 years of experience in software design and architecture with hands-on development. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of modern software architectures and distributed systems.
