Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. This long-term contract role offers a blend of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility while maintaining productivity. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in collections and billing processes, ensuring outstanding invoices are managed efficiently and payments are accurately recorded. Responsibilities: u2022 Make collection calls to follow up on overdue invoices and secure payment commitments. u2022 Accurately record cash receipts to maintain up-to-date financial documentation. u2022 Prepare and distribute invoices in a timely and detail-oriented manner. u2022 Monitor overdue payments and determine expected payment dates to ensure timely collections. u2022 Utilize systems such as Coupa and Ariba to streamline invoicing and payment tracking. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address customer concerns. u2022 Maintain detailed records of all collection activities for future reference. u2022 Provide regular updates on collections status and outstanding accounts to management. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the collections process. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections. u2022 Strong understanding of credit and billing collection processes. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and managing financial data. u2022 Familiarity with systems like Coupa and Ariba is preferred. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and internal teams. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts. u2022 Prior experience handling overdue invoices and securing payments effectively.
