Accounts Receivable / Customer Service Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable / Customer Service Specialist to join our team in the New Providence, New Jersey area. This role involves managing customer accounts, resolving payment-related inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to effectively handle account reconciliations and build positive client relationships. Salary is 50,000 - 60,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, and pension plan. Responsibilities: u2022 Communicate with customers to address inquiries about lease terms, rental periods, and payment-related issues. u2022 Review lease agreements to verify payments and determine potential credits, subject to management approval. u2022 Prepare detailed aging reports for past-due accounts, providing analysis and recommendations for action. u2022 Investigate unidentified payments and collaborate with customers to resolve application discrepancies. u2022 Reconcile and resolve payment inquiries, coordinating with sales and administrative teams as needed. u2022 Monitor unapplied cash and overdue balances on lessee accounts to ensure accurate records. u2022 Facilitate the collection of overdue payments while fostering strong customer relationships. u2022 Download payment data from customer portals and ensure proper application. u2022 Verify data input for accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or customer service roles. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with systems such as Infor and Lawson. u2022 Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage financial data and reports. u2022 Excellent communication skills for handling client inquiries and resolving issues. u2022 Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers. u2022 Experience in managing client accounts and ensuring accurate payment processing. u2022 Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial records. u2022 Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and best practices.
