Director of Revenue Accounting

Description We are looking for a highly experienced Director of Revenue Accounting to join our global client in Hoboken, New Jersey. This role is ideal for an individual with extensive expertise in revenue accounting and a strong understanding of ASC 606 standards. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing revenue recognition processes, driving accuracy, and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced, high-tech engineering environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage revenue accounting operations, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 standards. u2022 Oversee SaaS revenue recognition processes, maintaining accuracy and alignment with accounting principles. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline revenue cycle operations and improve efficiency. u2022 Provide strategic leadership in managing accounts receivable and healthcare revenue cycles. u2022 Develop and implement policies to optimize revenue accounting and reporting processes. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for revenue growth. u2022 Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to revenue recognition. u2022 Mentor and guide the accounting team to enhance their expertise in revenue-related functions. u2022 Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and business objectives. u2022 Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems and processes to adapt to organizational growth. Requirements u2022 Extensive experience in revenue accounting, with a focus on ASC 606 standards. u2022 Proven expertise in SaaS revenue recognition. u2022 Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing accounting teams in large organizations. u2022 Big4 or large regional public accounting firm preferred. u2022 Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA highly preferred. u2022 Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to revenue accounting. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments. u2022 A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with significant focus on revenue operations.
