Tax Analyst

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring tax compliance, managing investment-related tax liabilities, and supporting accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will contribute to regulatory adherence and help maintain the financial integrity of a substantial investment portfolio. Responsibilities: u2022 Collaborate with finance leadership and tax teams to gather and provide accurate data for tax return preparation. u2022 Review and analyze tax returns prepared by external consultants to ensure compliance with investment-related tax regulations. u2022 Partner with financial accounting teams to address investment accounting matters and support the preparation of detailed annual reports. u2022 Monitor, project, and analyze excise taxes related to investment income to ensure accurate tax planning. u2022 Oversee regulatory filings and reporting for both domestic and international jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to all applicable requirements. u2022 Ensure timely completion of audits for investment entities and managed affiliates to maintain compliance and operational efficiency. u2022 Assist in preparing financial statements for investment entities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. u2022 Support retirement and welfare benefit plan compliance efforts by addressing tax-related matters. u2022 Contribute to risk management by identifying and addressing potential regulatory risks related to investments. Requirements + 4+ yrs overall exp. (public or direct industry exp from a firm or admin firm) + MUST have K-1s via Asset Mgmt., Hedge Funds, Private Equity industry exp. PFICs etc. + CPA, MST, MBA etc. is a huge + + Outstanding communication skills for internal/external groups.
