We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications Cardiac Cath Lab Techu2019s demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings. What You Will Do in This Role u00b7 Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing and sterile field setup. u00b7 Administer contrast media and medications according to age- and weight-specific guidelines and within regulatory scope. u00b7 Start and maintain IV access; monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any abnormalities. u00b7 Prepare patients by reviewing their medical history, positioning them, and prepping procedure sites. u00b7 Operate and maintain imaging and lab equipment; report malfunctions and follow lock/tag-out procedures when necessary. u00b7 Accurately document procedures in Meditech and verify imaging in PACS. u00b7 Interpret and report test results, recognizing and correcting artifacts or recording errors. u00b7 Handle and dispose of radioactive waste in compliance with safety regulations. u00b7 Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment. u00b7 Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. What Qualifications You Will Need Candidates must have one of the following: u00b7 Current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the ability to obtain this certification prior to hire. u00b7 OR Current license or registry from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)]. Additional requirements: u00b7 BLS certification required. u00b7 Completion of ACLS training within six months of hire. u00b7 Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees. u00b7 Minimum of one year of experience working in Special Procedures or Interventional Radiology. u00b7 Willing to help support interventional radiology as needed, cross trained provided. u00b7 Willing to work on a PRN basis and availability to provide call coverage, as needed. u00b7 New graduates of RCIS programs will also be considered. u00b7 Ability to work PRN (as needed) with a requirement of either two shifts per month, two call shifts per month, or a combination of both. Call shifts are from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, with one summer and one winter holiday commitment. TriStar Summit is a 230+ bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation and womenu2019s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center.
