We are adding a Supply Chain Contract Specialist to our team, to support our Nuclear market, due to growth and a strong backlog of work. In this role, you will be involved in the complete life cycle of procuring materials, equipment and/or services for your assigned projects from the RFP stage, through final delivery and contract closeout. One of the key components of the job will be to develop, review, negotiate & manage contracts with suppliers, as well as be that key point of contact for suppliers and the project team, for your assigned project(s). Location This position could be based out of Lenexa, KS or Oak Ridge, TN Responsibilities u2022 Develop, review and negotiate terms and conditions of supplier contracts. u2022 Manage supplier contracts and supplier relationships, to ensure our suppliers meet our standards, specifications and client requirements. u2022 Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplieru2019s reputation and history. u2022 Ensure material buyers are purchasing the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings. Manage the life cycle of the items you are procuring for your project. u2022 Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFPu2019s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels. u2022 Assist in the development of company-wide procurement templates. Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to projects. u2022 Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. u2022 Utilize logistics team in monitoring shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods. u2022 Assist in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects. u2022 Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues for your project & support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed. Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or related field with at least 2+ yearsu2019 experience in contracts & supply chain functions. If no degree, a minimum of 4 years in supply chain functions and contracts functions as outlined above are required. u2022 Supply chain experience must include working with the RFP process, contract development/negotiation, & procurement execution. u2022 Experience working with engineers, estimators, buyers, logistics and expediting in the procurement process. u2022 Minimum of at 2 years of negotiation experience with suppliers with experience reviewing and managing contracts and researching new vendors to utilize on projects. u2022 Prefer candidates that have experience in Construction, preferably within the federal market. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) general software knowledge of databases to create contracts. u2022 SAP experience a plus. u2022 Highly motivated skilled communicator (both written and verbal), with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative to get the job done right the first time. u2022 Strong work ethic, Strong individual contributor and team player with ability to build relationships. u2022 Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
