The person should be self-starter, adaptable with attentive to detail and able to work with minimal supervision. What you'll do: u00b7 Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time depending on project location. u00b7 Be able to work outside in different types of weather conditions. (Cold, Snow, Rain and heat). u00b7 Experience in the installation of Maxcell, Microproduct, innerduct and fiber optic cable in a Data Center environment. u00b7 Experience in fiber splicing and testing. u00b7 Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement. u00b7 Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders. u00b7 Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness. u00b7 Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. u00b7 Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles. u00b7 Reading and comprehending blueprints, building documentation/redline work and cable schedules. u00b7 Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies. What you'll need: u00b7 Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools. u00b7 Must be capable of leading a crew of 5-10 technicians. u00b7 Must understand customer service, perform job walks and communicate with customer for job requirements. u00b7 Accept responsibility for the outcome of work performed by him/her and/or by employee that directly report to him/her. u00b7 Clear understanding of job safety requirements. u00b7 Be able to read and understand project design documents. u00b7 Ability to install various types of innerduct (EX: Maxcell, 1.25u201d ID and Microduct) and fiber optic cable. u00b7 Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize to large projects and service jobs. u00b7 Possess skills to dress all types of cable and perform all types of terminations and should include basic understanding of fiber equipment, all types of cable and fiber terminations. u00b7 Basic understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
