We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to be a Regional Manager (RM) of Facilities Maintenance to join our corporate-based engineering team. The team is comprised of two other RMs and reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Director, to manage and lead Facilities Managers and Facilities Area Manager (Shift supervisors). The primary responsibility is to maximize equipment uptime, execute equipment maintenance and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject matter expert in facilities maintenance, workplace safety, and data driven management and leadership. A background in MHE systems/applications, packaging automation, distribution processes and storage systems is a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels. The candidate must be capable of overseeing the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects. Moreover, this individual will need to be adept at providing technical leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership. Key Responsibilities include: u2022 Provide leadership, mentor and manage field-based Facilities Mangers in the expansion and continuous improvement of Amazonu2019s North American Fulfillment Network. u2022 Drive maintenance Best Practices: Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, provide a safe work environment and require safe work practices, train, commission equipment, collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes and improve Amazon customers experience. u2022 Offer guidance to senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end of life (EOL) issues using ROI, and other analytical techniques. u2022 Provide oversight for budget development and execution, and capital planning. u2022 Help manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Amazonu2019s network size to maximize economies of scale. u2022 Provide frequent on-site monitoring, auditing and enforcement of maintenance execution, safe work practices, and institute and audit training drills across the network. u2022 Leverage the entire maintenance team for the benefit of the North American network. u2022 Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing. u2022 Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility over facilities manager responsibilities so that they can better understand, lead, mentor, and manage FMs. u2022 Recruit, interview, and hire bar raising talent in the Facilities Maintenance and Facilities Area Manager roles. u2022 Help create a world-class facilities maintenance organization. u2022 Be willing and able to relocate for the needs of Amazon.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) experience - 7+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience - Experience leading change in multiple site environments and influenceing those that are not direct reports or within your organization - 7+ years of employee and performance management experience - Ability to travel up to 80%Preferred Qualifications- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering - Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems - Experience in Lean methodologies - Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD and commercial off-the-shelf technologies such as Tableau, SQL, or equivalent - Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification - Professional Engineering registration Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $130,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
