Job Title: Survey CAD TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a Survey CAD Technician with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a good driving record. The ideal candidate should be capable of performing physical tasks, be detail-oriented, accurate, and work well with others. This full-time position requires dependability and a positive team player attitude, along with the ability to work overtime as needed. Responsibilities + Read and interpret property deeds. + Prepare deed composites. + Prepare boundary surveys and the associated metes and bounds descriptions. + Prepare ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and review title commitments and reports. + Prepare WSSC easements and various types of easements, including the associated metes and bounds descriptions. + Prepare subdivision plats. + Process topographic surveys. + Compute construction stakeout and process construction stakeout field notes and prepare cut sheets. + Interpret construction drawings. + Familiarity with surveying field procedures and water and sewer as-built drawings. + Prepare house wall checks and final house location drawings. + Prepare condominium drawings. Essential Skills + 1-2 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician. + Proficiency in using Carlson software. + Ability to work on 3-5 projects concurrently. + Experience in land development and surveying. + Strong understanding of CAD, drafting, and topography. + Detail-oriented and capable of performing physical tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + At least 5 years of experience as a survey CAD tech utilizing Carlson. + Local experience in Maryland is a plus, but not required. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Work Environment This role involves starting at a brand new office with the opportunity to be among the first team members. There is a significant amount of overtime available for those interested. The position offers hybrid work flexibility after the initial month, with a diverse portfolio that includes land development projects. The team consists of three other CAD Techs, and the candidate will report to the Director of Survey. The work environment is supportive, with quarterly company events fostering team unity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
