Job Title: Systems AdministratorJob Description We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance in a secure environment. Responsibilities + Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and applications. + Manage system backups, patching, and updates. + Monitor system performance and availability. + Implement and enforce security policies and procedures. + Support RMF documentation and compliance efforts. + Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis. + Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues. + Collaborate with network engineers, ISSOs, and developers. + Maintain system documentation and SOPs. + Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks. + Optimize system configurations for performance and reliability. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Linux operating systems. + Ability to hold TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. + Bacheloru2019s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 7+ years of experience in system administration within secure environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proven experience with container technologies, clustered storage, and configuration management tools. Work Environment This role is based onsite at a client location in Fort Meade, where you will be working in a secure, collaborative environment. The position involves interacting with network engineers, ISSOs, and developers to ensure systems are optimized and secure. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Odenton, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
