The FLEX Director, Change Management and Communications, is a key member of the Business Transformation Office (BTO) team, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Change Management + Communications, Business Transformation Office, U.S. and Canada. The primary focus of the BTO over the next few years is designing and delivering the Digital and Technical Transformation (D+TT) a multi-year effort to transform Marriottu2019s technology and business process ecosystem, enabling Marriott to deliver on our vision to become the worldu2019s favorite travel company. The BTO was established to enable and accelerate these changes through unique approaches to strategic planning, program management, change management, experience and business process design, continent coordination, and deployment. The Director, Change Management and Communications is responsible for planning, creating, and executing the day-to-day change management and communications activities in the U.S. and Canada in support of D+TT. This role will partner closely with colleagues throughout the entire D+TT program u2013 including (but not limited to) Global Change Management, Communications, Deployment, Associate Experience, Learning, and U.S. and Canada stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, a proven ability to plan and manage complex and comprehensive communications and change management plans, as well as a willingness to be deliver on difficult and time-sensitive requests. Key responsibilities include: Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Plans: u00b7 Partners with the Senior Director and the global Communications team to develop and execute comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communications plans for the U.S. and Canada to meet defined success measures. u00b7 Coordinate communications deliverables through a formal review process while adhering to tight timelines. u00b7 Partners with Senior Director and global Change Management and Communications teams to plan for and execute continent continent-wide conferences, key meetings, and planning forums. u00b7 Prepares timely status updates for leaders and senior executives. Change Management Plan and Execution : u00b7 Partners with the Senior Director and global Change Management team to create and execute a comprehensive change management plan and related deliverables for impacted associates. u00b7 Partners with the global Change Management team to gather and assess change impacts for U.S. and Canada stakeholders. u00b7 Executes the change management plan working closely with continent, Deployment, Learning and other teams to meet defined success measures. u00b7 Develops and distributes required change and deployment deliverables (e.g., presentations, job aids, communications, etc.). u00b7 Managed and delivers live webinars to U.S. and Canada stakeholder teams during deployment. u00b7 Identifies, proposes solutions for and manages resolution of issues and risks to change management plan. Change Management Measurement and Analytics u00b7 Monitors, detects, and manages change readiness and adoption through the change journey for on-property associates. u00b7 Shares insight and impacts from analytics with senior leaders as well as recommendations to help steer program in the right direction. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience u00b7 4-year degree from an accredited university; masteru2019s degree strongly preferred. u00b7 8+ years of relevant professional experience (change management, learning, stakeholder engagement, communications or deployment strongly preferred), demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance. u00b7 Experience on-property or above property in the U.S. and Canada, strongly preferred. u00b7 Strong working knowledge of the U.S. and Canada Topline disciplines strongly preferred. u00b7 Strong working knowledge of the U.S. and Canada Openings and Transitions process strongly preferred. u00b7 Experience with large-scale business transformation, strongly preferred in hospitality. u00b7 Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. u00b7 Outstanding formal and informal presentation skills. u00b7 Self-starter with self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a complex and comprehensive communications and change management plan. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity. u00b7 Experience working in or on behalf of (i.e., consulting) a large-scale, global enterprise strongly preferred. u00b7 Excellent written and oral communication skills. u00b7 Experience developing clear, concise, and logically written business communications, as well as delivering. u00b7 recommendations effectively to demanding audiences. u00b7 Ability to gain a clear understanding of an initiative and represent it to various constituencies across the organization. u00b7 Ability to work effectively in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment. u00b7 Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization. u00b7 Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups. u00b7 Ability to inspire confidence in senior management and to be recognized for stakeholder engagement, change management and deployment leadership. u00b7 Ability to be detailed oriented, while maintaining alignment with broader organization objectives. u00b7 Ability to juggle multiple projects and many stakeholders. u00b7 Basic project management skills. u00b7 Ability to complete deliverables with high quality and up to established standards. u00b7 Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams applications; experience with Smartsheet is preferred to streamline project management and collaboration; experience with email distribution tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus. _At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
