Cloud System Engineer - Level 2 Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Systems Engineer (Level 2) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring, with a focus on AWS and Azure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud service models, microservices architecture, and scripting/automation. The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring security best practices and compliance requirements are met. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage, deploy, and monitor cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to ensure optimal performance and reliability. u2022 Design and implement microservices architecture within the cloud environment. u2022 Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline cloud operations. u2022 Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by adhering to best practices and Responsible AI (RAI) policies. u2022 Manage operating systems (Linux and Windows Server) within the cloud environment. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve cloud-related issues. u2022 Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, including serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and AI cloud tools. u2022 Provide guidance and support to junior team members on cloud-related projects and initiatives. Qualifications: u2022 Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree is desired. u2022 Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring (AWS, Azure). u2022 Clearance: TS/SCI Technical Skills: u2022 Good understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud architecture. u2022 Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation. u2022 Solid understanding of network concepts such as subnetting, routing, and firewalls. u2022 Experience managing operating systems like Linux and Windows Server. u2022 Awareness of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. u2022 Familiarity with cloud serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and AI cloud tools and capabilities. u2022 Knowledge of Responsible AI (RAI) policies. Certifications: u2022 Securityu2022 Cloud Practitioner u2022 Azure Fundamentals u2022 Microsoft Azure Administrator Preferred Skills: u2022 Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). u2022 Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). u2022 Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
