Special Education Teacher

Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained Classroom) Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 2025u20132026 School Year Work Hours: Mondayu2013Friday, 37.5 hours/week (School Hours) Position Overview: Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained classroom of 12 students, supported by 2 teaching assistants. Most students have learning disabilities (LD). This role is ideal for educators passionate about individualized instruction and team collaboration. Responsibilities: + Deliver specialized instruction to students in a self-contained setting. + Collaborate with support staff and administration to implement IEPs. + Provide tutorial assistance and consult with general education staff. + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations. Minimum Requirements: + Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited university (preferred). + Valid teaching license in Special Education (required). + Out-of-state licenses accepted with proof of reciprocity application. + At least one year of teaching experience (preferred). + Preferred certifications: + Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching + Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Additional Details: + Modality: Self-contained classroom only (no inclusion).
